Experience the next generation of cupping therapy from a certified ACE Medi-Cupping Therapist.
Cupping therapy is an alternative Chinese medicinal practice used for healing muscles. Several high-profile athletes, including USA Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps, Championship boxer, Floyd Mayweather, and Olympic gymnast Simone Biles are using it. Phelps told USA Today: “That’s been the secret that I have had through this year that keeps me healthy. It’s been better than any money I’ve spent on anything else.”
Cupping therapy is a great way to enhance recovery for a variety of musculoskeletal injuries. Fist-sized circular cups made of plastic, are laced on the skin. The cups have small valves that attach to a handheld suction pump, which vacuums air from the cup. Cups are left in place for 5-10 minutes, and sometimes dragged lightly across the skin. The vacuum sucks the skin into the cup, separating it from the tissue below. The process often brings blood to the surface, causing small circular bruises.
Medi-cupping enhances inflammatory response of the body, speeds recovery, increased blood flow, breaks lesions and trigger points, and increases range of motion.
